Frequently Asked Questions

  • Alchemy of Emotions Part 1 is open only to those people who have completed the Nourishing Your Ground Immersion.

  • Question: I have date conflicts and I may not be present to the ‘live teaching sessions’ or ‘groups sits’ because I am traveling, (or busy with other commitments) when this immersion is being taught. I might only be able to catch up via recordings after a month. Can I still attend?
    Answer:

I'm seeing the theoretical teachings of the Sahajayana lineage spread over a period of 3 years after which most of the teachings in the Mystery School will be non-verbal (largely energetic and dream work).

These teachings are being offered in a very progressive arc, so that it supports people's heart, mind and body to naturally awaken - and it doesn't jerk them into too much Energy that they are not prepared for. And neither does it lead to spiritual and emotional bypasses.

The Emotions Program is the most natural progression on this path after the NYG. And we do not know when we will have the right conditions to teach this immersion again. Perhaps 2026 - we are not sure yet.

We understand that due to various commitments, such as travel or work, you might not be able to attend some of the live sessions.

It is expected that many participants will be engaged with other commitments during one immersion or another (eg. part 1 or 2 or Aligning with the Sacred, etc.)- and are unable to attend each live session. Nevertheless, this will not stop them from reaping the full benefits of the program.

To accommodate this, we have structured our courses to ensure that anyone who misses live teaching sessions can fully catch up via recordings. You will have access to all session recordings, which you can watch at your convenience over a 90-day period. While attending live sessions enhances the experience, missing them does not hinder your ability to complete the curriculum.

In addition to the session recordings, you will receive recordings of guided meditations, as well as downloadable worksheets and resources. This ensures that you receive the full breadth of the curriculum and can engage with the practices at your own schedule. Thus, not being present for every live session will not prevent you from participating in the Immersion.

Hence, you are encouraged to attend even if you have date conflicts.

  • We do not have immediate plans to conduct the 'Alchemy of Emotions' Immersion again.  The schedule for the next cohort has not been established. And it may be anywhere from one to three years before this immersion is offered again.

  • It is very important to attend Part 2 of this immersion. While Part 1 provides a theoretical foundation, Part 2 delves deeper into the practical and embodied application of the teachings.

  • No. One can attend Part-2 only if one has completed Part-1 of the Alchemy of Emotions Immersion.

  • The six-week program offers a significantly more detailed curriculum and includes substantially more depth compared to the 3-day course.

  • “This is not a place for healing, though healing may happen here."

Some of the activities or practices will invite you into self-examination, shadow work and emotional openings.  It is possible that for some people past trauma might also show up. If this happens to you, we ask that you find a trained expert in trauma-resolution work outside this program. The teacher will not have the time and capacity to effectively engage with each individual for trauma processing in this immersion.

Trauma resolution work is not within the scope of this program since the focus of this immersion is the transmission of ancient teachings and practical techniques.

For the safety of all participants, our shares and group processes should therefore not be used with the primary intention of personal trauma resolution work. Trauma-resolution, while extremely important, is not the primary objective of this immersion.

  • Question: This program sounds profound and potentially transformative, but I have some concerns. With the intense events happening in the world like the upcoming US elections and multiple wars, I worry that diving deep into emotional work could be overwhelming for me right now. My fear is that it may bring up too many difficult emotions or trauma that I'm not prepared to process. Why should I open this "pandora's box" during such a chaotic time?

Answer: You've expressed some understandable concerns, especially given the current state of the world. It's wise to be mindful of your emotional capacity.

I believe that the more challenging the work, more the need for FUN, HUMOR, PLAY and LIGHTNESS :-) And so this Immersion will be a dynamic dance between confronting the challenging and expanding our playful and light-hearted side.

However, let me address your concerns in further detail:

    1. This program is designed with your emotional well-being in mind. Hence, you are welcome to opt in or opt out of each activity or process as you wish. Everything (all teachings and activities) in this immersion is an invitation. Please exercise ‘choice’ such that you prioritize self-care and self-regulation throughout this program. You have complete autonomy over how deeply you engage with the material.

    2. Participants often share that understanding the workings of difficult emotions is incredibly empowering. They experience a profound sense of relief and release, by breaking the 'cycle' of being trapped or stifled by overwhelming emotions, by understanding their subtle mechanism.

    3. Chaos and suffering, while challenging, provide a powerful gateway to awakening. These difficult experiences are potent catalysts for liberation, offering us a vital chance to confront them directly. Similarly, if the Buddha had not faced suffering head-on he would not have been propelled towards awakening.

    The Program's Approach:

    • Exploring the Full Spectrum: We'll explore both nourishing emotions (eg: joy, gratitude, peace) and challenging ones (eg: anger, fear, shame) to understand their mechanisms and how they impact us.

    • Creativity: We will be drawing or painting, using dance and music, and other creative activities that offer playful and nourishing ways to process emotions and gain insights.

    • Sense of Community: Especially when life circumstances are challenging it is important to not isolate oneself. These six months (part 1 and 2 of the Emotions Immersion) will offer a sense of community. Sharing with others can helps us realize that we are not alone (or crazy!) in feeling the way we do and it can help us connect with our shared humanity.

Amidst the turmoil and anguish that surrounds us, a sacred opening awaits. An invitation to transcend our slumber and awaken to our highest potential with courage and fierce grace - for the benefit of all life.
